Arun Valley Trek is a 10-day exciting journey of the Makalu Barun National Park in eastern Nepal. The park covers 1500 sq km of land that ranges 435 m to 8463 meters above the sea in the Sankhuwasava and Solukhumbu district. Tourists enjoy the view of the fifth world highest peak Mt. Makalu (8463 m). The trip starts at Tumlingtar Airport (460 m) ends at Lukla Airport (2860 m).
Arun valley trek suggests for nature lovers. Arun said the deepest valley (8391 m deep) in the world. Makalu Barun National Park is the home of 440 types of birds include 14 extinct species, two endemic species, as spiny babbler and olive ground babblers. There are 150 species of butterflies, four species of fishes, 3000 flowering plants, including 32 types of rhododendron and 47 species of orchids. Endangered species of mammal are listed, snow leopard, musk deer, and red panda. The rivers and rivulets 12 different villages are situated in the park.
Arun Valley Trek is popular with a tranquil and non-touristic area. The ethnic group Sherpa, Rai, Limbu, Brahmin, and Chhetri inhabit with agriculture profession.
